Swiss International Air Lines

As Switzerland's national airline, SWISS embodies the country's classic values of 'Swiss hospitality', 'quality in every detail' and 'personal attention and care': anyone flying SWISS should always feel at home

Flying the
SWISS way

Swiss International Air Lines serves 73 destinations in 39 countries from its prime Zurich hub and the international airports of Basel and Geneva with its 85-aircraft fleet (in its 2010 summer schedules).
SWISS is committed on various fronts to the careful and sustainable use of natural resources, and regards a responsible attitude to the environment as an integral part of its corporate culture.
As a member of Star Alliance, SWISS remains true to its mission of providing quality air services worldwide.

The SWISS product
SWISS earned the prestigious Skytrax 2009 World Airline Award  of ‘Best Airline: Europe’ for its short- and long-haul services, this spring, following a poll of over 15.4 million travellers. And last year, the airline was voted ‘Best Airline for Europe’ (for the fourth time in succession) by the readers of Germany’s reputed magazine Business Traveller.

First Class
Comfort, luxury, peace, quiet and privacy are the hallmarks of the SWISS First product. Those little customer extras are a key ingredient, too: a toilet kit and slippers, special anti-noise headphones and top-quality pyjamas are all part of the service for every SWISS First guest. Having had their own separate check-in and lounges before departure, the SWISS First travellers are presented with the centrepiece of this top premium product when they step aboard: the SWISS First seat.
The new First Class seat is equipped with an innovative air cushion and can also be converted at the touch of a button into a totally lie-flat bed. There is a unique ‘guest seat’ which enables SWISS First travellers to have their partner or travel companion join them to eat or to work.
In SWISS’s First Class, it’s the guest who decides when the kitchen is open. This gourmet restaurant above the clouds offers a full menu of up to seven courses, all created by leading Swiss chefs.

Business Class
SWISS Business provides a thorough quality service: in the air and on the ground, throughout Europe and on long-haul routes. Separate check-in, priority boarding and baggage delivery, business lounge access and a wide choice of carefully-selected inflight specialities are just some of the highlights, here.
SWISS is also steadily adopting a new seating concept which, by the programme’s completion in 2011, will set new benchmarks in business class comfort throughout its intercontinental fleet.
Culinary needs are amply met, too, in the form of a five-course menu which – like its First Class counterpart &nda
