Swarovski Kristallwelten - A kaleidoscope for all senses

Swarovski Kristallwelten - A kaleidoscope for all senses situated in Wattens, some 15 km from the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck, the Crystal Worlds are watched over by the benign and friendly Giant.

In 1995, the multi-media artist André Heller created a place of true amazement with 14 subterranean Chambers of Wonder, inspired by artists like Brian Eno, Keith Haring und Niki de Saint Phalle, to celebrate the 100-year-jubilee of the Swarovski company. The continuously evolving crystal interpretation of these Chambers is in itself a reflection of the joy of innovation and dynamic that represents the highest maxims of the worldwide leader in the production of precision-cut crystal.

More than eight million people have been enchanted by this world of experiences, encompassing the full spectrum of art, music, dance and literature. Since December 2007, new installations such as Jim Whiting’s Mechanical Theatre, the interactive Ice Passage and many others provide the link to a whole range of precious crystalline Swarovski items.
The Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ Store invites end consumers to experience thier own creativity and to become an artist themselves. Here, they can find everything that is indispensable for that purpose: an extensive selection of crystal elements in highly diversified colours and forms, multifarious other creative materials and “ingredients”, which are available both as single parts and in the form of construction-kits, information on trends and techniques, and naturally, lots of inspiration..
As an atmospheric scenery, the Crystal Worlds are just the right location to transform cultural events and private celebrations into a sensual experience as well as being a forum for the avant-garde and a space of fantasy.

Winter Wonderland
With Winter Wonderland, the renowned Dutch designer Tord Boontje has created in Innsbruck a winterly, poetic landscape made of crystals.
Through a gate, covered all over with crystalline flowers, grapevines and fantastic birds, you enter a world of fairytales that has the scent of the innocence and joy of past childhood days. The medieval vaults underline the mystery of the crystal fairytales in the niches and hidden areas.
Winter Wonderland can be visited free of charge.
